AC resonance PD free test system

AC Series Resonance PD Free Test System is mainly used in power industry, power transformer, HV PT, HV switchgear, ect. The test item includes AC voltage test, PD test, and cable long duration test.

Series resonance system adopts this feature: capacitive object is with stored energy. This application results in obvious saving in cost. This system application conforms to XLPE cable power frequency voltage test and PD test requirement, and is suitable for PD test, voltage test and PD fault location test for XLPE cables before leaving factory. And other power products test.
The system is called series resonance PD test system, including regulatable reactor (inductance). The inductance can be changed to best point according to capacitance of tested object. When capacitance and inductance matches at the best point, it is called resonance. This is with advantage compared with traditional test transformer.

  • Application

    Advantage

    • Bigger reactor power (ineffective power) output with very low actual power input;

    • After output filtered, output waveform distortion ratio is 0.5% lowered than total resonance wave distortion;

    • When tested object fault happens, fault current generated in power loop will be deleted, and the fault point damage is the lowest;

    • The operation mode is controllable resonance status, so accidental resonance will not happen, while this happens to traditional power frequency test transformer when doing capacitive load test.

    HV resonance reactor:

    At present we have two structures of HV resonance reactor

    YYKTYC — Epoxy barrel typevoltage 150kV-1500kV / capacity 100kVA-30000kVA;Adopt this structure

    YKTY-Series reactor

    The HV resonance reactor is main component of the system. It forms series resonance loop with cable capacitance. When inductance of reactorequals the capacitance of cable, resonance is achieved, and system can output high voltage.

    The reactor adopts transformer oil for insulation. It is put in a steel tank. It is made of silicon steel, with iron core inside. The iron core is made of two U shaped devices. The gap between two U shapes can be changed by precise roller screw, thus inductance of reactor is changed with range of 20:1. The above design ensures low dissipation, high quality factor, small partial discharge of reactor.

    JTKZ-5 digital type control system

    Using industrial computer control operation, and using large screen LCD display to display the test data,

    USB interface to input the test data into the computer, at the end of the test can automatically put the test data into the preset table;

    And has remote diagnosis, remote technical support and service functions;

    It is with over-voltage, over-current, and breakdown protection. It is with manual lowering and raising voltage, and time setting;

    Optical and electricity isolation between signals is adopted to prevent HV into electrical circuit. Which prevents high voltage come into the control circuit and protects the equipment from high voltage shock;

    Resonance can be found by manual and automatic voltage regulation; multiple tuning speed.Operation procedure is simple. With network connectivity, all data can be imported to one computer.
